Fans left 'in tears' after seeing Macaulay Culkin looking so 'happy and healthy' at Walk of Fame

Macaulay Culkin has finally received recognition on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

On December 1, in a ceremony attended by the 43-year-old Home Alone star, his fiancée Brenda Song, their two children, and former co-stars Catherine O'Hara and Natasha Lyonne, Culkin was honored for his significant contributions to the entertainment industry.

Amid the ceremony, Song was visibly moved, wiping tears from her eyes as Culkin addressed the crowd, saying, "I'd like to thank Brenda. You're absolutely everything. You're the best person I've ever known. And after the birth of our two boys, you've become one of my three favorite people."

Following the emotional videos and photos shared on social media, Culkin's fans quickly expressed their joy at seeing the actor acknowledged for his talents and appearing so content with his family by his side.
As we annually partake in the holiday tradition of watching Home Alone on repeat, it can feel as though we've witnessed the former child star grow alongside us over the past 33 years. Given this connection, it was unsurprising that many fans had an emotional reaction to the Walk of Fame ceremony, with some even shedding tears.

Turning to social media, specifically X (formerly known as Twitter), to share their sentiments, one person expressed, "How wonderful is it to witness Macaulay Culkin appearing so healthy, radiating happiness, and receiving all this love?"

A second added: "Came to say I'm very happy for Macaulay Culkin. Not just for receiving a star but he looks so much better...healthy & happy! Congratulations! Well deserved!"

"Although he’s remembered for his child star films, the stuff he did later on - American Horror Story and such - was phenomenal," a third wrote. "Wasn’t just a child actor, Macaulay Culkin is extremely talented. Great to see him healthy and happy these days!"
"Damn Macaulay Culkin looking happy and healthy brings a tear to my eye," added a fourth X user, with a fifth tweeting: "Currently crying again because I am so happy for Macaulay Culkin"

"Spending my Saturday morning crying at all these Macaulay Culkin #HollywoodWalkofFame star videos," wrote another.

Having been in the public spotlight for decades as a former child star, Culkin has experienced some of his lowest moments making global headlines. This includes his 2004 arrest for possession of marijuana and a controlled substance without a prescription, as well as his unsuccessful teenage marriage to actress Rachel Miner in the 90s.

In a 2016 interview with The Guardian, Culkin shared his active attempts to distance himself from fame, stating, "I don’t just turn my back, I actively don’t want it [fame]. The paps go after me because I don’t whore myself out."

When questioned about the persistent public fascination with him, he admitted, "I have no idea. I was thinking about this the other day – I’d crossed the wrong street, picked up a tail, suddenly there’s a crush of 20 paparazzi. Then people with cameraphones get involved. I don’t think I’m worthy of that."

Fortunately for his fans, Culkin never completely stepped away from the spotlight and has taken on various roles in recent years, including appearances in shows like American Horror Story and The Righteous Gemstones, as well as the 2019 movie Changeland, where he starred alongside Song.

Once again, congratulations to Culkin on this well-deserved honor, acknowledging all the wonderful memories he has provided us!
