First image released of Wade Wilson and Dogpool for Deadpool 3

Our initial glimpse of Wade Wilson and Dogpool together in Deadpool 3 has been unveiled. In the image, the appropriately named pooch is seen affectionately licking the face of Ryan Reynolds' character, suggesting a strong bond between the two on the silver screen.
Reported by Movieweb, this marks the first official image from the highly anticipated threequel, set for release next year. Despite previous glimpses of Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on set, this high-resolution image is the first from the production team itself.

The superhero franchise's leading actor introduced Dogpool to the world in early November. Sharing on social media, he wrote, "Did Dogpool save the day? Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she IS currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares. Coming with the movie, Summer 2024."

Who wouldn't want a toy version of this uniquely charming canine?

The dog has amassed an impressive social media following, boasting over 23,000 Instagram subscribers.

While it remains uncertain what role Dogpool will play in the third installment of the saga, one can confidently expect her to steal the scene.

In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the on-screen cast includes Leslie Uggams reprising her role as the legendary Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.

The ensemble will also feature Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in currently undisclosed roles, along with Jennifer Garner as Elektra.

Ryan Reynolds announced The Crown star's inclusion in the cast back in February, stating, "New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!"

According to Deadline, Corrin is set to take on the role of the antagonist in Deadpool 3. However, the specific adversary chosen by the writers has not been disclosed.

The film, currently in production after the resolution of the actors and writers strike, is anticipated to premiere on July 26 next year.
