Instead of her vows, this bride read out her cheating fiancé's texts to their loved ones

Your wedding day is probably one of the biggest days of your life so you want everything to be perfect - the decor, the food, the dress. But what happens when you discover the person you were supposed to be marrying is the one that's causing the most trouble?

Well, just hours before she was set to marry the love of her life, Casey discovered that he was actually cheating on her and decided to get her revenge.

It all started when Casey was spending some quality time with her best friends the night before her big day when she received a text that changed the entire course of her life.
"This text wasn’t like the other wishes of luck and love," Casey recalled to Body and Soul. "This text took us all by surprise and changed everything in the heartbeat."

"The message was a series of screenshots from a number I didn’t recognize," she continued. "The accompanying message simply said, 'I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?'"
You can probably guess what the screenshots showed but it's probably every soon-to-be-wife's nightmare.

The shots were parts of conversations between Casey's fiancé Alex and a random stranger who had "dark hair and olive skin" - the complete opposite of Casey.

"The texts were dated from months to only days before," the heartbroken woman continued. "My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew."

The texts read: "This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game."

"Your body is f****** incredible. And s*** do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do," a different section read.

And it just continued to get worse as Casey read through the shots: "I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before."

The bride-to-be explained that each word was "like a dagger" in her heart, but with her wedding just hours away, she had to make a decision.

"How could I cancel when everyone had already traveled to be there and everything was paid for?" Casey continued, before breaking down in front of her friends.

While the group decided what the next steps should be - they considered everything from calling off the wedding to threatening violent action against him - eventually they all decided to go to bed as Casey had confirmed that the special day was going to continue but not exactly like she originally hoped it would.

"I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume," Casey stated. "As he saw my face he knew this was not an ecstatic woman on her big day, but he had no idea what was coming. I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath and I faced our friends, our parents and I told them the truth about Alex."

"There will be no wedding today," she announced to a crowd of their loved ones. "It seems Alex is not who I thought he was."

And that's when Casey exposed every single text he had sent to this stranger, which resulted in the disgraced fiancé running out of the venue with his best man trailing behind him.
The heartbroken bride then informed guests that the wedding reception would instead be a celebration of love and honesty.

After an awkward smatter of applause as well as a few little cheers, Casey and her loved ones still enjoyed the evening she had paid for, and - to her credit - she did confirm that it was "one hell of a party."
