Businessman who lived luxury lifestyle found dismembered in suitcase after posting eerie message

A businessman was found dismembered inside a suitcase following a series of bizarre posts on social media.

Fernando Perez Algaba, nicknamed 'Lettuce', had amassed nearly one million followers on Instagram where he flaunted his flashy luxurious lifestyle.

Algaba, who was accused of fraud, was found by two children who were playing football on a park in Ingeniero Budge, Argentina, on July 23.
This discovery came days after the 41-year-old posted about 'evil' people on his social media page.

It's not yet clear why Algaba, who was found ridden with bullet holes, was killed.
Crime scene investigators first found his forearms and legs, before uncovering a complete arm using a waste removal machine.

A tattoo on the hand confirmed his identity, alongside fingerprint analysis which provided further confirmation.

An autopsy found that he had been killed by three gunshots.

So far, investigations have not yet found any suspects.

Until earlier this year, Algaba was living in Miami, Florida, before travelling to Spain and then returning to Argentina.

After returning from Barcelona for a seven day trip, he never returned the keys to his rented apartment.

Over the years, he had registered several companies, although it is reported one had been accused of fraud, another had no tax identification number and a third was in debt.
The late businessman was embroiled in a lot of legal trouble, with lawsuits against him as creditors pursued him for years.

In a social media post days before his death, he was heard saying: "It's incredible how there are such evil people in the world that while you're thinking of helping them, they're thinking of destroying you."

Another message he sent read: "Hello, mum, I needed to clear my head as always. And from here, I am realising two things: that we can't escape from problems and that problems will follow us."

When police searched his apartment, they were unable to find his phone or wallet.

His first foray into the world of business came when he started working at the age of 14, selling sandwiches and delivering pizzas across his hometown.

He then branched out into the car industry and began buying vehicles to repair and resell.

By the time he was 24, he had a huge warehouse filled with luxury cars, motorcycles and jet skis.

When in Miami, he would establish a car and jetski rental company.

He was based there until he settled down in Barcelona.
