Jake Gyllenhaal says he's 'lucky' to have had sex with Anne Hathaway twice in movies

Jake Gyllenhaal, the star of "Spider-Man: Far From Home," considers himself fortunate to have engaged in simulated sexual acts with Anne Hathaway in two films.

Gyllenhaal complimented Hathaway's "rhythm" during these intimate scenes, which some may view as an odd compliment.

The duo played lovers in both films they appeared in, starting with the groundbreaking movie "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005. Gyllenhaal portrayed the closeted gay cowboy Jack Twist, while Hathaway played his wife Lureen Newsome.

Although they shared a sex scene, there wasn't much of a spark between their characters, as Jack was pining for Heath Ledger's Ennis Del Mar.

Their on-screen chemistry changed in "Love & Other Drugs" in 2010, where Gyllenhaal played Jamie Randall, a slick Pfizer salesman whose life is transformed after meeting Hathaway's Maggie Murdock, who suffers from early-onset Parkinson's disease.

While the film received mixed reviews, Gyllenhaal and Hathaway's dynamic chemistry received praise from critics.
According to a critic, while the film may have been missing something, it was not the chemistry between Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, as they had great on-screen chemistry that created real sparks.

Gyllenhaal revealed that he felt at ease performing love scenes with Hathaway after having previously worked with her on similar bedroom scenes.

During the press tour for "Love and Other Drugs," Gyllenhaal expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying that he was fortunate to have already engaged in simulated sexual acts with Hathaway in "Brokeback Mountain," which made him less nervous.

He further added that there was something about their working relationship that was naturally musical.
The key to success is finding the right rhythm, whether it be in writing, sports, or sexual encounters. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal praised Anne Hathaway's sense of rhythm during their on-screen lovemaking scenes, and jokingly suggested that every man should experience it for themselves.

Meanwhile, Hathaway shared a fun anecdote from the film's press tour about her favorite moment on set, which involved her exposing herself unnecessarily in front of the cast and crew during a scene where her character, Maggie, accidentally reveals herself to Jamie's flatmate while visiting his apartment.

Hathaway explained that the team had already been working for a few hours, so the mood was relaxed, and she was chatting with someone behind the set when the incident occurred.
During the filming of "Love and Other Drugs," Anne Hathaway recounted a humorous story from the set. While chatting with someone behind the set during a break, someone whispered to her that it was time to start filming.

Without realizing that they were still rehearsing, she hurried onto the set and shed her coat, standing there in the buff.

Jake Gyllenhaal was taken aback and confused by her sudden nudity, and Hathaway realized her mistake when she noticed that the camera was not rolling.

She hastily covered herself with her trench coat and realized that it was a case of life imitating art.
