According to Ali Wong, she managed to persuade Netflix to invest in her movie solely for the purpose of being able to kiss Keanu Reeves.

Although Ali Wong is currently enjoying immense popularity thanks to her hit Netflix show Beef, which many viewers have dubbed as the "best show ever," she is still a fan of Keanu Reeves just like the rest of us.
Despite being a renowned actor and comedian herself, Wong has not lost her admiration for the Matrix star. V Wong was lucky enough to act alongside Reeves in her 2019 movie Always Be My Maybe, a film that she wrote and starred in.

Wong's character in the movie rekindles her past romance with a former teenage fling, and throughout the movie, she has multiple kissing scenes with various male actors, including Reeves and Daniel Dae Kim.
Wong even revealed during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she convinced Netflix to invest more money in the movie, solely so that she could have the opportunity to kiss Reeves and Kim.

Check out the hilarious moment below:

During her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Wong also made a humorous remark regarding her ability to create on-screen chemistry while kissing Reeves and Dae Kim in the movie.

Wong had been married to her then-husband Justin Hakuta for ten years at the time of filming Always Be My Maybe, and she jokingly stated, "I've been with the same dude for 10 years.

I would have chemistry with a turtle at this point." Unfortunately, Wong and Hakuta ended their relationship in 2022, but they share two daughters together.

Reeves had a brief cameo in the movie as himself, which was a hilarious moment considering the lengths Wong went to secure him for the film.

On another note, Reeves recently exhibited affectionate behavior with his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles.
Honestly, who could blame Wong for doing what she could in order to bag Reeves?
