Beyoncé Breaks Major Grammys Record And Receives Standing Ovation From The Crowd

Beyoncé has broken the record for most Grammy Award wins, with 32 total awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. It was her win for best dance/electronic music album for Renaissance that made her the record holder. She thanked her late uncle, her children, and the queer community for the honor.
After looking at the envelope in his hands, presenter James Corden said, “We are witnessing history tonight!”

Beyoncé took the stage with tears in her eyes, saying, “Thank you so much.”

"I'm trying not to be too emotional,” she added.

"I’m trying to just receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me. Thank you, God," she continued. "I'd like to thank my Uncle Johnny, who's not here."

"But he's here in spirit. I'd like to thank my parents — my father, my mother, for loving me, and pushing me. I'd like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching."

The previous record holder was conductor Georg Solti, a famous orchestra conductor with 31 Grammy wins. Beyoncé currently holds the record with 32 Grammy Awards.

The singer also thanked and credited the queer community for pioneering the genre when accepting her award for best dance/electronic album: "I'd like to thank the queer community for your love, and for inventing this genre."
