Making full use of their personal door, the pair go back and forth between their houses countless times a day and Aeida soon became close with the neighbors' little kids too. "Aeida is very friendly and loving. She really just loves everyone and anything — especially our neighbors' children," Aeida's mom, Nicole Ackehurst, told The Dodo. Since they'd become familiar with their pupperino's frequent impromptu trips next door, when she disappeared from the house one evening a few weeks ago, Aeida's parents assumed she must be at their neighbors' house playing with Cashew.
It was only when their neighbors sent them a picture of their furry family member that they found out exactly what Aeida was up to. "Our neighbors sent us a Facebook message with Aeida sitting in their bathtub. We believe that was the first time she had done it," Ackehurst revealed. Having grown close with the little humans next door, Aeida had decided to join in on their bath time. Adorable, right?
However, the real kicker here is the fact that Aeida absolutely hates taking baths. Her parents couldn't believe their stubborn dog who throws a tantrum every time they try to bathe her, was totally willing to do it when her favorite little humans were involved. In fact, she has now made it her new favorite hobby, heading next door almost every night before the kids' bedtime to participate in bath time. "She will join them at bath time at every chance she gets," said Ackehurst, adding that the neighbors love having her there.
"I'm pretty sure our neighbors love having her over, just as we love having Cashew come over too. Aeida and Cashew are great friends and have such a strong bond. They're both considered great parts of our families," Ackehurst gushed about the adorable pupperino pair. Aeida and Cashew are pretty much equal parts of both families now and hence it makes absolute sense why Aeida would feel right at home with her neighbors. However, her bond with the little ones is truly precious.
