6-Year-Old Gets 150 Bunchems Balls Stuck In Her Hair; Mom Spends 20 Hours Removing Them

Lisa Tschirlig Hoelzle has a warning for parents everywhere.
In a now-viral Facebook post, Lisa says it all started when her young kids, Abigail and Noah, went down to the basement to play. Ten minutes later, Noah came running upstairs to tell Lisa that his sister had "something" stuck in her hair.

That's when Lisa made the surreal discovery ...

Noah had dumped an entire container of Bunchems on Abigail's head.

Bunchems, if you don't know, are award-winning toys targeted to children ages 4 and up. They're described as "colorful little balls that stick to each other and build like no other.” And though the container has a label warning users to keep them away from hair, it hasn't stopped countless kids from getting into this very sticky situation.

Poor Abigail ended up with 150 Bunchems that were literally layered and matted into her hair. Lisa said they connected "like velcro."

Using a combination of using vegetable oil and conditioner, Lisa said it took three hours to remove just 15 out of 150 Bunchems! The process was so grueling that she and her husband had to stop for the night.

Lisa wanted to avoid having to cut off her daughter's hair, so the next day she continued trying to remove the sticky balls.

Watch the video below to see how Lisa's efforts paid off — after 21 hours.
