The 26-year-old's representative, Jack Ketsoyan from Full Scope Public Relations, told Rolling Stone that the entire ordeal was "extremely disturbing and dangerous."

"The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men's unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous," he said. "This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity."

As per TMZ, Dragun was originally arrested and taken to the Miami-Dade County's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday after allegedly causing havoc at The Goodtime Hotel.

According to the affidavit which was seen by multiple news outlets, police officers responded to reports of "disorderly conduct" which included playing loud music and swinging open water bottles at hotel staff at security as well as the police.

She was then arrested on a felony assault charge, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Once a the detention facility, the social media personality, who has 9 million followers on Instagram, was reportedly taken to the men's section while also being identified as a "male" with the pronouns "he/him" on the affidavit.

Later on, Dragun corrected this when Judge Mindy S. Glazer asked what she would want to be referred to as, to which she replied "she and her."

She also went on to ask: "Your honor, may I ask one question? Do I have to stay here in the men's unit still?"

The Judge responds by saying she doesn't "make the rules up there" but tells Dragun that there "should be proper accommodation for you."

The clip was posted to TikTok via NBC South Florida and has since been been viewed over 2.4 million times.

Following the claims made by Ketsoyan which allege that Dragun was placed in a men's jail, Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department told Insider that it was "committed to protecting the rights of the transgender community and of all LGBTQ people."

"Inmate Dragun never made it beyond the booking process prior to release; therefore, she was never placed in a men's unit. All inmates undergoing our intake process remain in an open seating (open booking) area, in the presence of correctional staff," the statement read. "Additionally, inmate Dragun was placed in a holding cell by herself due to her high profile status before being released, and she was escorted by an LGBTQ officer during her time at the corrections facility."
