Rosie AKA @itsrosieandharry on TikTok posts snippets of her life with her partner, Harry, and recently, she shared an update on her long-term skin condition.

In a video posted to the platform, Rosie shed light on World Psoriasis Day by sharing the ups and downs of her own journey battling the disease.

"I can finally say that I am psoriasis free," she told her followers."These last two years have been the hardest years of my entire life and as much as I try to spread positivity online I hid a hell of a lot away behind the camera."

"Having to wake up every day with constant pain and having to still try and put a smile on my face was so difficult, but now I'm growing, I'm the strongest person I ever have been and having psoriasis has taught me life lessons I would not know without," she added.

For those of you who might not be aware, psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disease that speeds up the growth cycle of skin cells.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), psoriasis "causes patches of thick red skin and silvery scales [which] are typically found on the elbows, knees, scalp, lower back, face, palms, and soles of feet, but can affect other places (fingernails, toenails, and mouth)."

While mild symptoms can be treated with ointment as well as other medication, more serious symptoms can be harder to eradicate.

But thankfully, for cases like Rosie's, it seems as though there was a root cause to the problem and once she discovered it, her journey to healing her skin was made easier.

"I feel like I can finally say I know the root cause of my flare up was in fact the birth control pill."

Rosie finished the video talking directly to those who may be suffering as she once did.

She said: "If I can express any message to you if you're suffering with something similar, is to not give up. I'm literally the living proof that it will get better. There is a light at the end of that dark tunnel I promise you."

To be able to share positivity even when you're experiencing something so overwhelmingly painful speaks volumes and we're happy to see Rosie thriving now!
