Her Tinder date told her to 'look pretty' and not 'like a goth witch.' Her response is legendary.

Anyone who's ever dipped their feet into the online dating pool, even for a brief while, will have at least one horror story about the kind of people they encountered there. From creeps who make your skin crawl to folks who're only on dating apps to complain about their exes, trying one's luck with love through the internet is a wild gamble in which you never truly know what you might face. One TikTok user, however, went viral after sharing how she absolutely owned a Tinder date that was destined for the dating horror stories collection.

TikTok user @meganelizabeth1016 is being hailed a badass online after she uploaded a video detailing the ultimate clapback she delivered to a sleazy Tinder match who told her to "look pretty" on their upcoming date. In the video, Megan explained how she had matched with a guy who asked her out to Panera for a date. Before she headed to the restaurant, however, the guy randomly messaged her saying: "Please look pretty and don't show up looking like a goth witch or something. I don't like that." Well, if the dude's got a special request about how she is to dress for her extra-special date with him, it's got to be handled appropriately, doesn't it? Megan did just that.
Taking the guy's explicit instructions to heart, Megan shows in the video how she got ready for the big date. She puts on flawless makeup, complete with heavy black and grey eyeshadow, dark eyebrows, and black lipstick. Completely transformed into her date's worst nightmare, Megan shows off her badass Goth look—which pairs immaculately with her stunning red hair, by the way—before declaring: "I'm on my way to meet him now."
"Good thing I don't give a [sic] F if he thinks I'm pretty. I'll buy my own Asiago cheese bagel and listen to Slipknot in a booth by myself," she adds, concluding the video. Megan's simple but defiant response to her Tinder match's unsavory instructions was a big hit online, resulting in the video racking up more than 1.6 million views in just five days. Even the official Panera account and the official Tinder TikTok jumped in to comment on the video. While Panera joked that "people really got bold in this Panera" and "come for the food, stay for the FIERCE," Tinder joined the cries for an update.
Megan graciously obliged, sharing how the date played out in a follow-up video. She revealed how she'd headed to the Panera location after completing her "Goth witch" look, and texted her Tinder match that she'd arrived once she sat down. "Trevor from Tinder" soon graced her with a text informing her that he saw her walking into the restaurant.
"I literally just saw [you] walking by... All girls are the same. I asked for one thing... for you to look pretty and not dress like that. I'm not coming in and being out in public with you like that. So embarrassing," he wrote. Utterly unfazed by her date ghosting her, Megan celebrated herself with a simple: "whatever I'll eat my asiago bagel by myself and practice my witchcraft." Speaking to Daily Dot about the incident, she said that throughout her life, she has dealt with and seen "so many controlling relationships... where they say what to wear, where to go and not go, how to act."
