Biles was on a flight when a flight attendant mistook her for a child. As she boarded the plane, she was asked if she would like a coloring book. Biles turned down the offer explaining, “No. I’m good. I’m 25.” She shared the encounter on her Instagram stories along with a selfie where her expression shows exactly how she feels about being mistaken for a child in her mid-20s. Her post was later shared on Twitter.

It appears that not everyone on the flight thought Biles was a child. She shared that, “The other flight attendant gave me a mimosa so we’re in the clear.”
It’s possible that Biles may have boarded this flight after visiting Washington, D.C. The gymnast was there to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. When President Joe Biden introduced her he explained, “Today, she adds to her medal count.” He joked, “I don’t know how you’re going to find room.”
Biles has 32 Olympic and World Championship medals in gymnastics. She is the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history. Biden explained that Biles is “an advocate for athletes’ mental health, foster care children and sexual assault victims. She’s also the youngest person to ever receive the medal.”
Does it surprise you that a flight attendant would think Biles was a child due to her height? How would you react if a flight attendant mistook you for a child and offered you a coloring book?
