Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Uninvited From Queen's Pre-Funeral Reception At Palace

In the days since Queen Elizabeth II's death, tensions have been high in the royal family, specifically in regard to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's presence.
Now, it seems that Harry and Meghan have been uninvited from the queen's pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace, according to UK’s Telegraph.

Harry and Meghan reportedly received an invite to the event, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. But it seems their invite has been rescinded.

According to the report, Harry and Meghan were told that only working British royals may attend.

Insiders told the Telegraph that the change of plans was jarring for Harry and Meghan. They apparently “appeared baffled” by the entire ordeal. The event is not just for the British royal family, but other world leaders and foreign royals also attend. Hundreds of heads of state, including President Joe Biden, will make their way to London prior to the queen's funeral.

The royal rift definitely doesn't seem to be mending in the wake of the queen's death. Harry reportedly missed getting to say a final farewell to his grandmother because he appeared to be denied a seat on a plane that took Princes William, Edward, and Andrew and Edward's wife to Balmoral.

Harry and Meghan have also been widely criticized this week for holding hands at procession on Wednesday.
