The court awarded 58-year-old Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and punitive damages of $350,000 (reduced from $5 million). Heard, 36, was awarded $2 million in damages based on her countersuit. Both parties accused the other of abuse, with all alegations being denied.
Now, during a call with CNN political analyst Brian Karem on the Just Ask the Question podcast, Griffin has become the latest celebrity to speak out in favor of Heard.

Then, speaking as a woman and a feminist, she stated that the verdict in favor of Depp was "really disturbing".
Griffin then called the online conversation surrounding the high-profile case a "social media bloodbath", before announcing that the #MeToo movement is not dead yet.
Then, the comedian went on the personal attack of Depp, branding him "gross".

"And so they keep sticking up for him and being like, 'Amber is taking down Johnny! He's so gorgeous and dreamy!' I'm like, okay, he talks like Kanye when Kanye had his jaw wired. He has a fake accent like when Madonna turned British. So, you know, who are we kidding here?"
Later on, Griffin would bash Depp's fans for waiting outside of the courthouse in order to show their respect to the actor.
"And just the whole thing of how he had, like, his digital warriors outside," she said. "It's... this is a middle-aged man. This is pathetic. So, anyway, I don't... I don't get it."

"He's a Kentucky boy," Karem said. "So every time I hear that from him I go, 'He didn't learn to speak like that in Kentucky.'"
Griffi then joked: "He learned it from his idol Keith Richards."
Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer has previously stated that Depp based the character of Captain Jack Sparrow off a combination of rocker Keith Richards and flirty skunk Pepé Le Pew.
