Bill Nye 'The Science Guy' Weds Author Liza Mundy At Haupt Garden In Washington, DC

Bill Nye — or "The Science Guy," as you probably know him — is a married guy! That's right. The famous science geek is officially off the market, but dry your eyes. This is supposed to be a happy announcement!

The 66-year-old engineer married his love, journalist and author Liza Mundy, in May 2022. The two wed at the Smithsonian Castle's Haupt Garden in Washington, DC.

The pictures, taken by photographer Pete Souza, are absolutely stunning.

Bill has been married once before, but let's hope this marriage runs a happier and less-complicated course. His first wife (kind of, because apparently the marriage was never actually legal) was Blair Tindall, a musician and also a writer who wrote the book Mozart in the Jungle. Their relationship ended with Bill filing a restraining order against her.

Fast-forward a few years, and Bill met Liza after she mentioned his mother, a cryptanalyst, in her 2017 book Code Girls: The Untold Story of the American Women Code Breakers of World War II.

Bill heard about the book and was so thrilled about his mother's mention — and the author's work — that he sent her an email. It's the nerdiest, most adorable meet-cute we've ever heard.
