People Are Saying 'She-Hulk' Needs To Be Delayed After Seeing The First Trailer

On Tuesday, Disney dropped the first trailer for its upcoming Marvel show, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

The action-packed trailer gives fans a look at Tatiana Maslany as the MCU's newest superhero, Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk.
Walters is the cousin of Avenger Bruce Banner - played by Mark Ruffalo - who in the trailer appears to be stuck as his Smart Hulk form we saw in Endgame.

However, unlike the Banner we've seen in the majority of the MCU, when Walters transforms into She-Hulk, she appears to be able to retain much of her personality. In one part of the trailer, she even appears to carry her date off to the bedroom.

The incredible trailer can be seen below:

The official synopsis for the nine-part series reads: "This new comedy series sees Bruce Banner help his cousin, Jennifer Walters, when she needs an emergency blood transfusion and guess what? She receives his powers too.

"Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer, who is a lawyer specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk alongside Tim Roth, who plays the Abomination."

And while a lot of the reception to the trailer has been excitement, some fans have a serious gripe: the special effects.

Taking to Twitter to voice their concerns, some people thoughts the visuals were less 2022 and more Playstation 2.

One person even compared the CGI to the hilariously bad Scorpion King from The Mummy Returns:
Sharing a screenshot of the trailer, another fan wrote: "Reminder that each episode of She-Hulk has a budget of 25M. What the hell happened to the CGI?"
Another critic of the trailer even compared She-Hulk's CGI to Princess Fiona from Shrek.

"She-Hulk CGI is terrible," another person tweeted. "Take-you-out-of-the-show bad. Pip bad. I’d [happily] see the series delayed in order to be fixed @MarvelStudios."
Some of you may remember that this is reminiscent of the backlash Paramount Pictures and Sega faced after they first unveiled the trailer for the video game adaptation Sonic The Hedgehog.
As a result of the overwhelming criticism, the movie's director, Jeff Fowler, confirmed that the movie studios would push back the movie's release date in order to redesign the famous blue alien hedgehog.

Fowler tweeted at the time: "Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear... you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be..."

With a few months left to go until She-Hulk hits our screens, let's hope Disney execs are listening.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also stars Jameela Jamil as Walters' rival, Titania, and MCU favorites Benedict Wong and Tim Roth return to the franchise as Wong and Abomination respectively.

The show will be available to stream on Disney+ from August 17, 2022.
