The Beatles megastar - who celebrates his 80th birthday next month – displayed a clip of his music video for 'My Valentine', which features Depp.

Depp, as part of said music video, was seen on giant screens behind McCartney while the music legend performed at the Camping World Stadium in Florida on Saturday.

Needless to say, it appears to be the case that the video was intended as a show of solidarity with the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean star.

Footage of the concert has been obtained by TMZ and circulated online.

Fans of the two were thrilled at the 'Live and Let Die' hitmaker's gesture, with one writing: "Bless you Paul McCartney! We love you Johnny Depp!"

Another compared Depp's legal battle, with that which McCartney had with his own ex.

They said: "Heather mills was is in the same league as amber .. so he has some experience in these issues. Good on Paul for listening."

Another agreed: "Maybe he can see the same behaviour as he experienced with Heather Mills."

A final person commented: "I’ve seen this before in a video of his concert. He’s been supporting Johnny. Good on him!"

Court proceedings continued in Fairfax, Virginia, on Friday, with Depp and his ex Heard suing each other over a 2018 op-ed the actress wrote for The Washington Post. Closing arguments took place, with Depp's legal counsel insisting that the Aquaman star was lying when she claimed to be a victim of physical and sexual violence.

Throughout the trial, which started in April, attorneys for Depp argued that Heard's op-ed implied he was physically abusive towards his former wife - despite the fact that he was not named in it. His legal team also alleged that Heard's accusations cost him his reputation and his illustrious Hollywood career.

Depp is seeking $50 million in damages. Heard, on the other hand, is seeking an eye-watering $100 million.
