The 29-year-old 'Cool For The Summer' singer proudly announced they were non-binary back in May 2021.

At the time, the star revealed the news in an Instagram post that stated in the caption: "Today is a day I'm so happy to share more of my life with you all - I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward."

Since then, the chart-topper has been open with their followers regarding their non-binary journey.

Now, eagle-eyed fans have notice that Lovato has edited their Instagram profile to update their preferred pronouns - adding "she/her" to the previously mentioned "they/them".

Although the change has been made, the singer has not made a statement on the choice.

Last year, in an interview with TODAY, Lovato opened up about their non-binary identity, saying: "My masculine and feminine energy are equal."

"I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and am still discovering," they added.

Additionally, Lovato has told their fans that they understand that some people will slip up and accidentally misgender them.

"If you misgender me, that's okay," Lovato wrote in a heartfelt message to fans. "I accidentally misgender myself sometimes! It's a huge transition to change the pronouns I've used for myself my entire life. And it's difficult to remember sometimes!"

"As long as you keep trying to respect my truth and as long as I remember my truth, that shift will come naturally," Lovato added. "I'm just grateful for your effort in trying to remember what means so much to my healing process."

Additionally, Lovato has previously spoken out about how they may not always identify as non-binary.

During an appearance at the 19th Represents Summit, the former Disney star shared: "There might be a time where I identify as trans...there might be a time where I identify as non-binary and gender-nonconforming my entire life.

"Or maybe there’s a period of time when I get older that I identify as a woman."
