Jeff Bridges walks the streets with his wife Susan, months after announcing cancer remission

Actor Jeff Bridges was recently seen outside enjoying the little things life, as a refreshing afternoon walk. The 72-year-old Tron: Legacy star was seen strolling the streets of Santa Barbara, California, with his wife of almost 45 years Susan, and their pet dog. The Oscar-winning star's weekend outing comes right after his declaration in September about being remission after months of treatments. "The 9" x 12" mass has shrunk down to the size of a marble," he wrote in an update on his website about his lymphoma. "Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I'm starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery," he added. Speaking to PEOPLE in 2020, Jeff opened up about his wife and how they've maintained a strong relationship that has survived decades. "We are quite different as people, and we celebrate that rather than making it drive us apart. I respect her wisdom, and I’m sure the girls do too. I’ve really been blessed," said Jeff who shares daughters Isabelle, 39, Jessica, 37, and Hayley, 35 with Susan. The couple is also grandparents to Grace, 9, and Ben, 5.
For Jeff, it was "love at first sight" when he first met his wife Susan in Paradise Valley, Montana, where she was working as a waitress. The actor was reportedly there filming the 1975 movie Rancho Deluxe when he instantly became smitten with her. Just two years after this, the pair tied the knot. Their lasting marriage is not only an inspiration for people everywhere but also for their children, especially daughter Isabelle. "They love each other, but they like each other, they spend time together. They make an effort to ask each other questions about what the other is interested in," she shared. Just last year, Jeff teamed up with his daughter, Isabella, to create a new children's book called Daddy Daughter Day. While the book, which follows a series of adventures that a dad and daughter duo have, is written by Isabelle, it was illustrated by Jeff. Despite having achieved a lot of fame for his acting skills in acclaimed movies for almost 50 years, the Crazy Heart actor maintains that it's his family that has been the greatest joy in his life. "Time goes so fast, and it's so precious," he told PEOPLE. "To spend it with people you love, there's nothing richer than that."
