Do you remember your favorite teacher back when you used to attend school? Have that teacher in mind? Good.
Now, how devastated would you be if you found that something had happened to your favorite teacher? I don’t know about you, but I would be distraught if I heard something had happened to a teacher that helped mold me to be the person I am today.
Mr. Dawson Tamatea was the favorite teacher of many students at the Plamerston North Boys’ High School in New Zealand. When Mr. Tamatea suddenly passed away, the students were at a loss for words. They didn’t let their grief, however, take away from all that Mr. Tamatea accomplished. At his funeral service, 1700 students did somethingpowerful as a tribute for Mr. Tamatea.
Mr. Tamatea may no longer be in this world, but his memory will remain in the hearts of these students forever.
