Polish discus thrower Piotr Malachowski has out-thrown the entire Olympic field with his selfless act to donate his silver medal to a little lad battling cancer, reports BroBible.
The 33-year-old threw 67.55m in the Olympic finals to claim silver, finishing just 82cm behind Germany's Christoph Harting who won gold.
Most Olympians would rightly treasure their block of success, but not Malachowski. He would rather put it on auction in order to raise money for a little lad called Olek Szymanski, who is battling with retinoblastoma, a cancer in the eye that is most common among children.
He has raised enough funds from auctioning off his silverware to be able to fly the kid to New York, where treatment for the type of cancer is more efficient and safe.

Good work Malachowski, he won gold in our hearts.
