If you’re a dog lover like me, chances are that you can list plenty of reasons why owning a dog is the best decision ever. My top reason? Dogs are always there to love you and comfort you during times of need. I would do anything for my dog. Would a dog, however, do anything for you?
You’re about to hear the story of a dog owned by a family in Virginia that recently became more than just a dog. He became a lifesaver.
One day, a three year old boy named Mason wanted to follow his dad’s car as he was driving to work. Without his mother detecting him, little Mason was able to slip away and wandered into the words. He didn’t just wander for a minute or two, however. He wandered for around nine hours!
As soon as the family found out that Mason was missing, they frantically assembled a search team of several hundred volunteers in order to locate Mason. As hard as they tried, they couldn’t find him. That’s when Banjo, the family dog, started barking late at night.
Banjo, who was adopted by Mason’s family around two years ago, had been following Mason ever since he started wandering. Once he sensed that there were people nearby, he immediately started barking to alert them of Mason’s location. Thanks to Banjo, little Mason is safe.
Dogs are more than just pets. They’re members of the family. Don’t you agree?
