Artist Paints an Amazing Rendition of Van Gogh’s Iconic ‘Starry Night’ Using Water as His Canvas



If you think stunning art done by incredible artists on canvas are amazing, wait till you see one done on a bowl of water.


Vincent van Gogh is one of the most prominent artists in history and his masterpiece ‘Starry Night’ one of the most recognizable. It has been recreated by artists from around the world, but none done like this.

Turkish painter Garip Ay used an ancient technique called ebru or paper marbling by swirling different pigments around a bowl filled with water to a captivating effect. Once the pattern is done, a piece of paper is laid on the surface of the water to absorb the paint, creating a dyed page.


Both the process and result is absolutely amazing.
