Since 1965, Joan has always had a “beehive” hairdo. It was popular at the time, and Joan fell in love with the look. But fast forward 40 years later, and the “beehive” hairdo is a thing of the past.
More importantly, her “beehive” hairdo had a very high upkeep. It totaled four whole hours! Joan would tie her hair up using 12 hairpins, brush out the previous teasing, wash her hair, set it in rollers of various sizes, and then sit under a dryer for an hour. Once her hair dried, she would do the process all over again and roll it up into a beehive until next week.
Her daughters, Cindy and Christine, were finally fed up with their Mom’s look. They went to extreme measures to convince her to get a new hairdo.
They worked with Oprah and her professional stylists to give their mother an updated look. Just wait until you see what they did!
