Is it 1955 all over again?
Michael J. Fox has played alongside Coldplay in one of the most surprising musical combinations of the year, performing a cover of the songs "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode" at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday evening.
For those not familiar with Back To The Future, both songs feature in the original 1985 film during its very memorable The Enchantment Under the Sea school dance.
It was actually Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin's son, Moses, who made the song request in a video message as it is both of their favourite movies of all time.
Fox appeared about two minutes into the performance of the Marvin Berry and The Starlighters song "Earth Angel," and the crowd went wild.
Fox also stuck around for a cover of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" which he stunned the crowd with in the film.
Fox and Coldplay's performance might have been the most unexpected combination, but you can bet it's up there with the coolest ever.
