Well, that was true until Pokémon Go came along and gave Biebs a big ol' mouthful of humble pie.
Everyone was so busy catching Pokémon in Central Park, New York City, that they didn't even notice the Biebster was right there next to them.
How much do you bet that at first, he was relieved because he scored a really sweet Squirtle but then he realised that he missed the screaming girls, he missed telling them to 'do one' (or whatever celebrities do, I dunno). When Justin Bieber decides to show up and play Pokémon Go with you in Central Park pic.twitter.com/WSn83ISSTv— Alex Heath (@alexeheath) July 18, 2016
As you can probably tell, he didn't go COMPLETELY unnoticed, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this and you wouldn't be reading it, right?
Tech Insider reporter, Alex Hearn, spotted him. That doesn't count, though, surely?! It's his job to know who's who.
So as far as I'm concerned, no-one noticed. As this video beautifully shows.
As if that isn't awkward enough, according to Alex, Biebs walked past him and said: "I'm the rarest Pokémon of them all."
