Following on from Chris Evans’ announcement that he will be stepping down as host of Top Gear on Monday, Jeremy Clarkson took to Facebook this afternoon to show just what he’s been up to.
Captioned: ‘Hammond, me, and the bravest camera team ever’, the four-second clip shows the steely nerved camera crew sat calmly in an automobile as two cars speed past extremely close to their car, presumably driven by Clarkson and Hammond.
Clarkson, who was sacked from Top Gear after he allegedly assaulted and racially abused a producer, added that the clip ‘was The Grand Tour‘ – a reference to Clarkson, Hammond and James May’s new petrol headed show on Amazon.
The short teaser posted to Facebook has already been viewed thousands of times and attracted numerous comments, such as:
4 second video still better than Chris Evans full season of top gear.
Another prove that you are the only ones capable of doing a properly good car show!
Evans announced that he would be ‘stepping down’ as Top Gear host after it was revealed that the show’s viewing figures were at an all time low.
Meanwhile, original Top Gear fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming Grand Tour, but so far this near car crash is the closest they’ve come to a trailer.
However, it’s still nowhere near as much of a car crash as Top Gear was with Chris Evans!
