It started off as a typical morning for Alice Bradley, a school bus driver in North Carolina. She arrived at the school’s parking lot ready to start her shift. Just when she thought her morning was going well, it took a turn for the worse.
As she pulled into the lot, she noticed a strange-looking couple standing in the parking lot. Suddenly, she realized the male was taking out a gun and pointing her direction. Rather than panic, Alice floored the gas and drove the car towards him. The couple immediately ran away from the scene.
Then, Alice phoned the authorities, who were able to catch the culprits. According to the couple, they actually planned to “massacre” everybody at school.
“One of the individuals made the statement that if it was God’s will to shoot children and teachers, and if the other suspect wanted the suspected to do so, they would have proceeded to start shooting children and teachers,” said Macon County Sheriff Robert Holland.
Now, Alice is being hailed as a hero because of her selflessness and bravery. “I thought of the kids. I was real nervous. I always thought I’ve been a tough woman, but this really scared me. It did,” recalled Alice.
Because of what they’ve done, the couple faces charges, which include attempted murder. More importantly, the school is safe.
