Conway Twitty is a heralded and legendary American musician and singer who specialized in country music. Although he was never a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Twitty was inducted into the Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame.
His contributions have had a significant impact on the country music industry as a whole. He help shaped the genre for many years, and one of the people who was heavily influenced by him is none other than former American Idol Scott McCreery.
During a Grand Ole Opry performance, McCreery stood in front of thousands at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. There, he put his own spin on Twitty’s classic, “Hello Darlin.” His performance is absolutely phenomenal!
I didn’t think anyone could match Twitty’s live performances, but McCreery sure gets close.
