A mom’s week was going terribly when her 9 week son was hospitalized and she had to stay with him for several days in the hospital. When her son was finally allowed to leave, they headed toward their car, only to find a parking ticket.
The mom was depressed. What had she done to deserve this? She slowly picked up the envelope and took out the ticket to see how much she was fined. What she found, however, surprised her.
In the envelope was a parking ticket, but there was a note attached to the ticket. It read:
I saw your car had a parking ticket on it. I’m sure whatever you’re going through is tough enough, so I have paid for you. Hope things get better!”
This mom couldn’t believe it. Someone out there had decided to pay her parking ticket without even knowing her.
It may be easy for us to believe that kind deeds don’t happen as much anymore. Let this story be testament that there are still so many good samaritans, and you should do everything in your power to be one of these people.
