If you’ve been a mother before, you’re probably well aware of how difficult it can be to raise one child. So can you even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to raise three? I can’t even begin to tell you how terrifying it sounds to me!
Well, 48-year-old Shiela Weisgerber was definitely up for the challenge when her son passed away and left behind three triplets that the 30-year-old mother couldn’t take care of with another baby on the way. Although being a grandmother wasn’t supposed to be a full-time job, Sheila decided to take three. Although it’s clearly difficult for Shiela, she embraced the role,
“I love children and it wasn’t in my cards to have more. And now I’ve been blessed to raise the boys. If I was asked to do it over again, I would. These little guys are a true blessing.”
Well one day, Shiela was at her bartending job in Lisbon, South Dakota, when some customers overheard her talking about her grandsons to her coworkers. The customers couldn’t believe that Shiela was raising triplets all by herself.
So in act of pure kindness, the customers decided to leave a $300 tip on their $30 bill. On the receipt they wrote, “Take care of those boys!” Shiela couldn’t believe the kindness of these total strangers!
She posted on Facebook to describe the entire story and her reaction:
When the triplets’ father died, Shiela opened an individual savings account for each one. She’s decided to split the money evenly between their accounts so they may each receive the love of some total strangers that wanted to lend a helping hand.
