Your bathroom isn’t just the most intimate space in your home, it’s also the most prone to bad bacteria.

So it’s no surprise that it’s also one of the most unpleasant rooms in the house to clean, especially if you’re a germaphobe.
DIY Fizzy Toilet Bombs

Cleaning your bathroom has always been a quite demanding chore, especially if you are with young kids at age of two, who like inspecting things around. You surely don’t want to enter the bathroom and see an unpleasant picture of wet towels, a stained sink and tiles, a dirty bathtub and germ-filled bowl. Keeping your bathroom immaculately clean is of a great importance and you can achieve this by making these DIY toilet cleaning bombs. A homemade toilet bomb is the perfect solution to eliminate the unpleasant smell in the bathroom and to quickly freshen it up.

And what is most importantly you will no longer have to buy expensive bathroom products containing harmful chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, which can cause kidney damage and irritation to your respiratory tract if inhaled.

The Natural Solution:

This is toilet bowl cleaner will keep your toilet perfectly clean and germ-free and is perfectly safe to use. You will be astonished by the results.

Ingredients

    ½ cup baking soda
    ½ cup citric acid
    ½ cup cornstarch
    water in a spray bottle
    gallon size zip-top bag
25 drops essential oils – depending on your choice but I recommend lemon or orange for its cleaning properties, plus two others for nice-smelling purposes.

Homemade Toilet Cleaner

Supplies:

mold of your choice – I like to use a muffin tin with cute liners for easy, individual storing
    giant Ziploc baggie

Steps:

Put all the ingredients together in the bag, except the essential oils, and shake them well.
Open the bag back up and add 2-3 spritzes of water. Then, close the bad and knead.
Repeat step 2 for 5-7 times. The baking soda and the citric acid combining will make the bag puffy, so you just need to let the air out.
The mixture should feel like pie dough. In order to test its consistency, just squeeze a handful. If it stays together, it means it’s ready. Do not use too much water.
Now, you can add the essential oils and knead the mixture again.
Pack the mixture firmly into your molds. Use the second muffin tin when pressing them down.
Leave them dry for 2 days.
After that, remove the toilet fizzers from the molds. Put them high enough so they can dry completely for another day or two.
Place the fizzers in a container and cover it tightly. Make sure you keep the container out of reach of children.
When cleaning the toilet bowl, you need to drop a couple of them into your bowl until the fizzing stops. Use a scrubby brush to clean off the residues and then flush.
